INTRODUCTION

Introduction
I am Maya Risal from Nepal. I came to United State on Aug 2007. First, I came to Georgia in Andrew College. I studied my first quarter and moved to California with my family. I have heard that this college is the best community college in this area. So, I enrolled in this college. I like the environment of this college as well as teachers behavior towards student. I started my journey to English from ESL 157 level and now in fall quarter, I will join ESL 25. The main reason of taking ESL 186 is to make easy going to ESL 25 as per my ESL 167 instructor. ESL 186 is my first online class in Foothill College. I was quite afraid of taking online class. After I took this online class, it seems easy then face-to-face class.Giving time toward our assignment before due date is the best way of getting good grades in online class. This makes us to be self dependent towards our responsibility for doing our assignment. This taught me lesson that how important is the time for study. I have to complete my ESL 26 for my Major course so have to work hard on that. I want to have Associate Degree from this college in Respiratory Therapist. I choose this Major because I like medical field and wants to be NURSE one day. I am working towards my goal and have hoped to full my dream in my life. My mother wants to see me getting American Degree from here. I want to full my mother dream too. I love my mom and she is the one who inspire me to come here.

I was told in my health class that abdominal fat in the body is the place where most of the disease starts taking place. We people nowadays are quite busy in doing our things and work. So, we don’t care about our food so we eat whatever we want when we are hungry. That food sometimes might be unhealthy which might not be good for our body. When the fat accumulates in the stomach area, it increases the size of the abdomen. But we don’t know about it.
After reading the article, I came to know that people having big belly might be at risk of heart disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and sleep apnea. I learned that there are two kinds of fat in our body.
One is ordinary fat ( subcutaneous fat) which lies just underneath the skin and makes up 80% of our body fat. Another fat is “visceral fat” which is found within our body and around our body organs. This may be feel if you try to push your stomach. This kind of fat restrict the blood flow, which might leads to higher risk of heart disease.
We can know whether we got visceral fat in our body or not by magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI). This kind of fat is dangerous for our health but good news is that doing regular exercise makes easy for it to remove. It is worth to think about your diet. We should avoid taking polysaturated. Instead of that we should take saturated fat, which has lower amount of visceral fat. Look at label before buying food from store. Polysaturated fats are found in sunflower oil, corn oil , soybean oil and fish. So, Olive oil is the good for health. We should stop smoking as well as taking alcohol. Regular exercise like walking 1 hr, running, biking , doing aerobic exercise and dancing can help in reducing belly fat. So, think about our stomach fat today and start our exercise because health is wealth. Heart is the main organ of our body so keep it healthy by eating healthy diet.

Katie Couric interviewed Mr. Howard Schultz, CEO of Star-bucks, by asking him why he can't say small, medium and large like normal for the size of coffee. He told that he saw those names when he went to Italy and made like that. She asked reason why star-bucks is closing so many stores that might cut the job of some many employees. The company get worst because of economy down in this situation. Then , she asked is there any business plan for recession. He replied that he got plan for his business in this down economy situation. Finally, she asked if he could down the price of coffee. He told that the company is selling just cup of coffee . He even told that the connection of customers will not be friendly by reducing the necessities of customers.
I would like to suggest Star-bucks to reduce the price of coffee so that every individual can offered. More the people buy the coffee in less price, more the store will remain open and every people can get job.

Two teachers
This article is about two different teachers of different countries having same problem but in different way. They were suspected from their teaching job.

Suspended from teaching, an Indianapolis teacher says she believes administrators' fear of their school board is one reason she faces getting fired for assigning a certain book to her students.
Connie Heermann of Perry Meridan High School was placed on administrative leave after she assigned "The Freedom Writers Diary," a collection of at-risk teenagers' essays containing swear words and sexual overtones. The teacher used the book from the permission of the student after she could not get reply for long time from administration. She told that book is very useful grade 11 because it contain the testimony of how they eliminate the anger and the hatred , the violence . She even mentioned that she got the permission from the students parents.
Another suspected teacher is Sydney McGee who took her fifth grade student to Dallas Museum of Art along with other teacher with the approval of principal of the school. But the parent complained that student say the nude picture in the Museum. She even got supported for this tour from teachers and parents too. Even the director of the museum told that there is not to be worried about the children visiting that museum.

In my opinion, for first teacher, she was right that she was waiting for the permission of administration but its not her fault that she herself uses the book but she even got the permission from the students and children. So, administration should be strong for decision making quickly.

For second case, If every administration of school, teachers, parents and even the director of the museum are approved for visiting museum for the children. Then, if one of the parents complains it then the whole administration should solve the problem. In my view, looking nude picture is not bad for the children of fifth grade.
